Rehabilitation Former Jaselsky Barracks Area in Brno

The urban design for an area of former barracks Jaselská kasárna in Brno is based on an effort to create sustainable town structure, which allows a free movement of inhabitants through the area. The lot is well connected to the city centre and has a good accessibility to public transportation. More over it is situated in a rather quiet part of Brno. Designed houses are oriented parallel to Štefánikova and Staňkova street. The design is defined by two types of public space – square and park. Nursing home for elderly is situated on their edge. The residents of the home have the opportunity to visit both public spaces. Shops and services are within the walking distance. Due to its location in the center of the new dwelling resort, the elderly stay a part of society and they will not feel useless.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the matters of social status and prospects of middle- class women, family and family relations concerning not only immediate relatives, but also distant ones, social life and the meaning of marriage from the point of view of women in the 19th century England and America. These themes are primarily explored in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Little Women and Good Wives by Louisa May Alcott. The stories of women with the sign of green widow behaviour from an addictological perspective

The diploma thesis entitled "Stories of Women with the Mark" Green Widow "in Addictology Perspective aims to use semi-structured interviews to map the relationship between substance use and moving to a satellite town of selected ten respondents who meet the fixed criteria that are as follows : well-socio-economically-dependent women (higher social status of the family, good income and permanent employment of the spouse) living in satellite towns of large cities, the financial side of the family is occupied by a busy husband, women spend most of their time without their spouse go to work and some form of addictological or psychiatric history. Furthermore, this thesis aims to find common recurring life themes and behaviors in the given women. At present, the topic of green widows is becoming the current one, especially in the growing suburbanization of Czech cities, even in the field of addictology, where the literature or research conducted is not adequately described. The theoretical part is devoted to risk factors that can threaten green widows such as overuse of drugs or alcohol, but also feelings of loneliness, isolation from the environment, infidelity or abandoned nest syndrome. Cultural and social life of the German minority in the Karlovy Vary/Carlsbad region since 1989

The diploma thesis deals with cultural and social life of the German minority in the Czech lands with the focus on its development in the Karlovy Vary border region since 1989. The study is based on an analysis of the German minority press, especially the periodicals Aufbau und Frieden, Prager Volkszeitung, Landeszeitung, LandesEcho and Eghaland Bladl, and a research survey based on interviews with members of the German minority and questionnaires addressed to the representatives of local authorities of the towns in which the research took place. First of all, the basic concepts and minority policy at the national and international levels are defined. Next, the thesis concentrates on the historical and legislative development and social-demographic situation of the German minority in the Czech lands after 1945. The next part of the thesis discusses the development of the cultural and social life of the German minority in the Czech lands and closely characterizes four main areas - organization activity, cultural and social activity, language situation and media. These four areas are explored within the research survey in the main part of the thesis. The aim is to analyze the development of the cultural and social life of the German minority in the Karlovy Vary Region, and to depict the current status.
